I apologize. I have been somewhat neglecting Beagles and Bargains for the last two weeks.

When July started to come to a close, Luna and I panicked that summer was almost over and we just had to make the most of it. So here’s a peek at what we have been up to.

We went camping for two nights at Lake Anna State Park in Virginia.

By the end of the weekend, Luna was ready to go home and enjoy some air conditioning.

Fortunately, we were able to escape the heat and visit Lake Anna Winery, which is a pet friendly winery. It was quiet, relaxing, and cool! Plus, the winery’s resident dog was also named Luna!

We then traveled to Rodanthe in the Outer Banks of North Carolina and spent a relaxing five days there.

We enjoyed the both the sun and sand, but Luna had her complaints about all the water.

After coming home, we went on another adventure to go hiking near Great Falls, Virginia. We couldn’t get into the actual National Park since there was an hour wait(!!), so we hiked on a smaller trail called Difficult Run instead.

I wonder what we can accomplish with the rest of the summer.

What has been your favorite summer activity?
