This week’s theme for the 52 Snapshots of Life Photo Challenge is FATHER. In the past, I’ve written about what it means to be a mom and why we should be accepting of all types of moms, but I haven’t really explored the same topic for dads.

It’s really not any different though. What makes a father? Caring, loving, and raising another. Usually of the male persuasion because we like to differentiate for some reason.

I have the privilege of having an awesome father who coached my soccer team as a kid, shares my love of photography, helped me with learning computer programming, and has an fantastic sense of humor. My dad is so cool that even Thomas Jefferson wants to hang out with him!

And he puts up with Luna even when she climbs into his lap and tries to eat his lunch.

It is kind of weird to refer to my boyfriend as a dog dad. Maybe it’s because we are still young or because we aren’t yet married, but he definitely plays the role. I trust him to take care of her when I’m out of town or sick with a migraine. I know he loves her and really gets her quirky (slightly jerk) self.

Here are a few of my favorite pictures of my boyfriend and Luna.
