A to Z Blogging Challenge - Letter TAlthough I lost my grandmother many years ago, there is one thing I that still reminds me of her today. Zucchini bread.

When I first learned of zucchini bread, I thought it sounded gross. Why would I put a vegetable in bread? I’ll take my carbs extra carby please.

The first time I ever tried zucchini bread, my grandmother asked me to help make some. I fell in love. It is like a greener more delicious banana bread.

You know what is even better about zucchini bread? Zucchini is dog friendly and is a great ingredient for extra delicious dog treats.

Today is National Zucchini Bread Day and there is no better day to talk all about zucchini!

Zucchini is full of calcium, potassium, folate, beta-carotene, and other vitamins, so they are healthy for both you and your dog. No part of the vegetable or plant is toxic to dogs.

You can feed zucchini, raw, frozen, or even cooked. I loved grilled zucchini the most. You could also try grating zucchini and sprinkling a bit on top of your dog’s kibble for a fancier meal.

Because April is an insane month and I feel like I’m constantly running in circles, I rounded up a list of great dog friendly zucchini recipes instead of attempting to make my own.
