Gaaahhhh! You guys I missed last week’s 52 Snapshots of Life Photo Challenge post just when I was so close to the end!
As you know both Luna and I were sick last week, so I guess I can use that as an excuse. I was planning to share a few photos of my trip to Mexico, so I’ll go ahead and do that anyway.
For Thanksgiving break, I traveled to Puerto Escondido, Mexico with my boyfriend and his family. Luna had to stay behind, but don’t worry our next vacation includes her!
It was my first time in Mexico and I had a lot of fun. It was a very different experience from being home (especially since I don’t speak any Spanish) and we enjoyed a lot of delicious food.
The view from our house was absolutely beautiful! It was hard to even capture it in a photo.
One of my favorite things we did was go on an Eco Tour where we got to release baby sea turtles into the Pacific Ocean, ride a boat through a lagoon, eat sausages and drink coconuts on the beach with wild dogs, and swim in bioluminescent water.
We also visited a local market where you could find produce, meats, and souvenirs. I just loved the colors of all the different fruit and veggies.
I loved the contrast between all the cacti and the beach scenes. It just seemed funny to me to see a plant that needs so little water growing right next to the Pacific Ocean.
Puerto Escondido also had some of the most beautiful flowers!
And of course, we also enjoyed sitting poolside and visiting the beach. I even went snorkeling for the first time!
