Have I ever told you about the time Luna tried to eat Christmas?
Two years ago I remember sitting at work watching Luna occasionally on our indoor camera to see what she was up to during the day. Around lunch time I checked on her and quickly noticed that she had started opening and devouring all the Christmas presents.
Silly me! I had thought that I could put all the wrapped Christmas presents under the tree without them getting bothered. That definitely wasn’t the case.
Thanks to our camera I was able to see what was happening, tell my boss, and go home to save Christmas.
When we first adopted Luna, she couldn’t be trusted on her own so we quickly bought two indoor cameras to spy on her throughout the day. She was caught red handed with so much mischief! Including the time she tore up her dog bed, ate my Kindle, and made moves towards my boyfriends Xbox.

We have been trying the Silver Vimtag VT-361 HD Indoor Camera. To set up the camera, you just need to plug it in, download their mobile app, and plug it into the router. Once the set up is complete, you can connect the camera to WiFi, so you don’t have to keep it plugged into your router all the time.
The mobile app is available for both iPhone and Android smartphones and it allows you to monitor and control the camera while you are away from home.
The Vimtag camera itself can rotate 360 degrees, zoom in for closer view, and also move up and down. During the day or if the lights are on in your home, you can see in full color, but at night or when it is dark the camera uses night vision, which is just a black and white picture. I usually leave a light on for Luna, so she isn’t in the dark all the time and we can see in color. Although the black and white image is still very clear!
In addition to being able to see your pets with the Vimtag camera, you can also hear them and talk to them! The camera features two-way audio, which means it has both a microphone and a speaker. You can hear what mischief your pets are up to and use your microphone on your phone or computer to distract them from it!
The camera also has some additional features to record video, motion detection, send email alerts. We’ll be exploring those more a bit later!
This camera is also a great way to monitor babies or children, elderly or disabled family members, or even just to keep an eye on your home while you are away.
Important Safety Tip – Don’t forget to change the password on this Vimtag camera and all other wireless cameras like this. Leaving the default password can get you hacked and you definitely don’t want a stranger to have access to seeing what’s going on in your house! We also only keep our cameras on when they are needed.
