Last year Luna, Cousin Keto, and Cousin Freckles enjoyed the delicious flavors of The Honest Kitchen’s Winter Warmer Broths. They were a huge hit for all the dogs and cats in our family, so I was really excited to see The Honest Kitchen bringing back broths with this years Beef Bone Broth.
Not only are broths back again this year, but The Honest Kitchen has agreed to sponsor today’s Stocking Stuffer Giveaway! We’re on Day 6, but don’t fret if you missed the first five days since you still have time to enter them! And, don’t forget to keep an eye out for the next 9 giveaways to come.
We’ve been longtime fans of The Honest Kitchen and their dehydrated wonders in the pet food and treat industry. Our go to photo shoot treats have been Quickies for a long time because they are low calorie and grab Luna’s attention (aka VERY smelly). Luna is also right now enjoying one of The Honest Kitchen’s newest recipes for her breakfast and dinner – Brave, which features fish and coconut.
Since we’ve had such a great experience with other products from The Honest Kitchen, I wasn’t at all surprised that Luna enjoyed the new Bone Broth. However, I didn’t realize just HOW MUCH she would enjoy this warm treat.
When I first gave Luna the Bone Broth, I just gave her a tiny bit so that she could get a taste and not ruin her appetite for breakfast (not that it actually would). I really just wanted to gauge her interest so I wouldn’t waste any of the broth.
As soon as I set the bowl down, Luna came running over. I turned away to prepare my own breakfast for just a few seconds. Before I knew it, Luna was back at my feet begging for more. And the bowl? Well it was licked clean and clear across the kitchen!
The Honest Kitchen’s Bone Broth comes in an adorable 5 oz canister for easy storage and is super easy to make. All you have to do is add 1 heaping tbsp to a cup of hot, but not boiling water and then mix! You’ll want to make sure the broth cools down a bit before you serve to your pup.
The recommended serving size is 1/4 cup of broth for every 25 lbs of body weight per day. So if your dog isn’t 100 lbs, then you can mix up a batch for several days and store it in the fridge or just cut the recipe down for your dog’s weight.
I love how open and honest The Honest Kitchen is with their products. They say right on their website that each cup of broth is 59 calories, so each 1/4 cup is only 15 calories! That’s a great low calorie treat for your pup.
The Bone Broth is made with only four ingredients – Beef bone broth, parsley, pumpkin, turmeric extract. The turmeric is a really potent variety that has even stronger antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Not only will your pets love it, but it’s great for them too!
Did I mention this broth is not just for dogs? It’s great for BOTH dogs and cats!
Each canister is only $13.99, but they are only available this holiday season. Don’t forget! You can save $8 off a 2 lb box (affiliate link) from The Honest Kitchen with our promo code AMBBGJS7123.
