Today’s post is going to be short and sweet because I am in a rush to get dressed up nice to go to my boyfriend’s Holiday Party. Sometimes it is nice to get dressed up, eat fancy food, and drink a glass of wine, so I am really looking forward to tonight
But before all the festivities start, let’s talk about today. Today we had a snow day!
Beautiful winter day in Northern Virginia
This was actually Luna’s first real snow fall. Last year we didn’t get much in the way of snow. The one time it did snow, it was quickly covered by by ice and rain, which is not very fun to play in.

This morning Luna and I took a long walk in the snow. I tried to entice Luna into a snowball fight, but she didn’t seem interested. Oh well. Maybe next time.
Luna explores during her first real snow fall
After we came inside after our walk, all I wanted to do was snuggle up next to the fire and drink some hot cocoa. Unfortunately, we haven’t yet had our gas fireplace turned on by our apartment complex, so that was a no go.
Instead, I was able to snuggle in sweatpants and wear some extremely comfy socks.
