Thank you all for sharing your catastrophes last week! It really made me feel better about my silly accident.
Cousin Keto has made several appearances in the Stocking Stuffer Giveaways and our Holiday Guide for Procrastinating Pet Parents already, but today he gets to be the star of the show!
Keto is an almost eight year old Labradoodle who has been in my family since he was wee puppy. I was only 15 years old when Keto joined our pack. I remember holding him in my lap bringing him home for the first time and I remember when he then threw up all over me.
I love thinking back to how scared he was of stairs. He just didn’t know what to do with them.
And the cats didn’t know what to do with him.
You may be wondering why is his name Keto. He went unnamed for a few days as we searched for the perfect name until we finally picked Keto.
Keto is derived from the Ceto in Greek mythology, who is essentially a hideous aquatic sea monster and mother to The Gorgons (including Medusa) and other fun sea monsters. Although my Keto is not female, I still thought it fit.
As a Poodle and Labrador mix, Keto LOVES water. He loves it so much that every time he drinks, he stores some in his beard and slowly disperses it across the hard wood kitchen floor. While he is no where near hideous (he is actually quite cute), he can be pretty messy. Labradoodle hair and mud is never a good mixture.
Keto has grown up to be the sweetest and pranciest dog.

There is one thing that can get Keto in an even prancier mode than normal: Bandanas!
Keto has bandanas for every holiday: St. Patrick’s Day, Independence Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and more! He is even rubbing off a little on Luna as she has tons of bandanas too.
