I have the privilege of trying out a lot of new pet products with Luna. There are many that I recommend based on their quality and performance, but there are only a handful that cause me to get overly excited when I have the chance to talk about them or that I regularly recommend even when no one asks for a recommendation.
Alcott’s Adventure Collar and Leash Sets for dogs are one of those products that I’m head over heels in love with. Each time we get a new set for Luna, it feels like I’m getting a gift for myself. As much as I love the Adventure Collar and Leashes from Alcott, it is crazy to think that I only stumbled upon them on accident. About a year and a half ago, I walked past a booth at the Global Pet Expo. I was on a mission to find some great reflective options and happened to notice that this booth had reflective collar and leashes.
The bright colors of the collars and leashes is what drew me in, but the quality of them did not disappoint. In fact, since we first tried out the Adventure Collar (about a year and a half), it has been Luna’s primary go-to collar. I’ve been so impressed with the durability. They have started to discolor a bit and the reflective pieces do start to come off over time, but even after all this time both the collar and leash are still function, comfortable, and reflective!
So what it is about the Alcott Adventure Collar and Leash Set that I like so much? Well, at first it was the bright colors that drew me in. The neon green color I selected for Luna was EXACTLY the color I was looking for. It really pops are her black fur and is a bright and happy color.
But it isn’t just the color. The fact that both the collar and leash are reflective is a big deal. We live near a major highway and often have to go on walks in the dark. Though are paths are lit and we haven’t had any close calls, I feel much more comfortable knowing that Luna has a reflective collar on. It also eases my worries a bit in case she were to get loose and it’s also super helpful when we go on short runs together.
And on top of all that, BOTH the collar and leash are padded. If you have a dog that likes to pull or only has two speeds like Luna (stop & sniff vs. RUN RUN RUN), then you know this is a big deal. The collar itself is padded on the inside, so I’m not as worried about her collar irritating her skin when it rubs and the leash handle is padded, which makes holding it much more comfortable and a little less painful when some dog is attempting to rip my arm off.
Alcott doesn’t just have collar and leashes to offer either. They also make plenty of pet gear for various outdoor adventures including sleeping bags for dogs! And if your dog (or you) aren’t super adventurous, they also have plush dog toys to help bring the adventure home. Plus, he is the adorable shape of the Alcott the mascot!
Great products and amazing quality are two of the big reasons Alcott is one of my favorite pet brands, but the big thing is the affordability. The value of these products is outstanding! A collar and leash set ranges from $29 to $34 depending on size. That’s a great deal when you consider the durability, comfort, and safety features that Alcott considers when they designed this product.
