A few months ago, I posted about Spot Farms after learning all about them at the Global Pet Expo. Both Luna and Cousin Keto agreed that Spot Farms delivered delicious chicken strips and jerky, so of course they were both excited about the opportunity to try out two of Spot Farms new chicken jerky flavors.
Just last month, Spot Farms launched four new chicken jerky flavors each with health benefits for dogs. These new options include Heart Health, Skin + Coat, Hip + Joint, and Serenity.
All four flavors are grain free and are made with antibiotic free chicken from Kentucky. Heart Health features Cranberry, Kale, Turmeric, Flaxseed, and Taurine to reduce inflammation and maintain a healthy heart. Hip + Joint features Glucosamine, Chondroitin, and Turmeric for healthy joints. Skin + Coat features Omega 3 and Vitamin E for a healthy and shiny coat. And, Serenity features Chamomile and Tryptophan to help soothe and reduce anxiety.
Luna had the chance to try out Heart Health and Serenity. As soon as I opened the bag of Heart Health, Luna went CRAZY. She just couldn’t sit still and contain herself. And now that she knows what delicious treats come from that bag, I have to hide it very very high up and in a locked cabinet. You can never be too careful with a Beagle nose.
Each bag of chicken jerky is 12 oz and sells for about $20. This is a bit pricey, but feeding safe jerky to Luna is very important to me especially with all the recent health scares. It is reassuring to me that Spot Farms chicken jerky is made and sourced in the USA. Each bag even gives you a bit of insight into the farm the chicken came from.
