You know the phrase “stop and smell the roses“? It may be cliché, but there is a lot of truth to it. Slowing down even if just for a minute can help you appreciate the beauty in your surroundings.

Over the holidays, I took this opportunity at my grandparents’ house as a way to say goodbye. It is sad to say goodbye to the home that was such a big part of my childhood, but the memories made there – both new and old – are beautiful and will always stay with me.
