Back in May, Luna and I had were fortunate to learn all about VetIQ and the products that they offer while we were at the BlogPaws Conference. We were so happy to learn even more when we were asked to review a few free products.
I was surprised to learn that VetIQ has prescription medicine, flea and tick control, treats, and supplements! However, what I was impressed with most is their mission:
“VetIQ provides quality medication and supplements for your pet at prices you can afford.”
A company that prides themselves on making quality, but yet affordable pet care products? Now we are talking! VetIQ’s products are also USA made.
Minties
While at BlogPaws, Luna was able to charm her way into a handful of Minties samples. There is something just a little irresistible about her smooshed Beagle face and butt wiggles! Since nearly all of our samples were consumed during or shortly after the conference, VetIQ was nice enough to send us a whole bag of them!
Minties are dental treats that simultaneously help freshen breathe! The ingredients list is much shorter and more recognizable than many other dental treats I have seen. Unlike many other popular dental treats like Greenies, Minties have no wheat, soy, or corn.
I found the scent of the Minties treats an interesting mix of dog treat smell with mint. I cannot say that I am a fan, but to a Beagle nose, this smell is delicious. I cannot pull out the bag without a (very well trained) Beagle flying in the air towards it.
So how long does one medium Minties treat last with a Beagle?
Minties come in four different sizes: Tiny (under 10 lbs), Small (10-19 lbs), Medium (20-39 lbs), and Large (over 40 lbs). You can give your dog one a day, but make sure to keep an eye on them and provide plenty of water!
The 6oz bag sells for around $7 and the 12oz bag sells for about $13. The number of Minties in each bag varies on Minties size.
Vitamin Chews
VetIQ also offers a Vitamin Chew for dogs, which Luna has been trying for the past month. These chews contain 19 vitamins, minerals and nutrients and are wheat free.
Luna enjoys getting one of these each day and sees it as a treat! She likes them so much that one day while she was at home alone, she may have found her way into the bag and ate a few extra (DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME). This did result in some incidents coming out the other end, so eating a whole bag in one sitting is not recommended.
When taken once a day we are happy with the results. Although I have not noticed any super dog strength, I have not seen any negative results.
A bag of Vitamin Chews comes with 75 chews and sells for about $13.
Pill Treats
Luna has also tried VetIQ’s Pill Treats. As a full disclosure, Luna does not have any regular medications, so we just tested on taste and appearance.
Luna thought that the Pill Treats tasted great, so I will definitely try them if I ever come across something she will not eat. However, the Pill Treats were a little fragile, so it might be difficult to get a larger pill into them.
The Pill Treats come in a bag of 30 treats and are wheat free.
VetIQ products can be purchased online at Amazon.com and in store like Walmart and Sam’s Club.
Right now you can save an extra $1 on any VetIQ product by liking them on Facebook!
As a bargain hunting pet parent, I am huge fan of VetIQ! I will definitely be using that coupon too!
Have you ever tried any VetIQ products?
