I have a confession to make. I live in a two bedroom apartment with 5 dog beds. FIVE!

The Princess, The Pea, and FIVE Dog Beds

Luna also has a dog bed at my parents’ house and in her bike trailer. And there may even be one shoved in the closet somewhere. You know to hoard away for later.

Good grief. I have one bed. Well, part of a bed. I get half. My boyfriend gets half. And Luna gets the rest. Don’t even try to do the math.

Anyway, I’m hear today to talk to you about comfort and to teach you the very important skill of how to tell if you might have a comfort addiction on your hands.

This is of course brought to you as part of the 52 Snapshots of Life Photo Challenge. Can you believe it is already Week 24? 2015 is almost half over!

Every single dog deserves a comfortable and safe place to lay her head. There is no arguing that, but some dogs take it too far.

5 Easy Ways to Tell If Your Dog Has a Comfort Addiction

1. One dog bed just isn’t good enough. Your dog cleverly tries to stack two or more beds together to get to the ultimate level of comfort.

2. You can’t ever seem to find a blanket or pillow because someone has a tendency to hog them all.

3. Somehow you have gotten a break from #2, so you go to lay your head on your couch pillow. It is warm and smells like butt.

4. Your dog refuses to sit, lay, or even stand anywhere in the kitchen if she is not on top of a rug or mat (or shoving food in her mouth).

5. Two perfectly good dog beds sit empty as the back cushion of your couch loses every last bit of shape it had. When you tell your dog to vacate, she gives you a look to say “Really? We all know I’m going back there when you leave.”

Two perfectly good dog beds lay empty.

Where is your dog most comfortable?
