By now I’m sure you have probably heard enough about my trip to the Global Pet Expo, but you are going to just have to sit through another blog post about how great an experience it was.

One of the things that made it great was stopping by the Spot Farms booth, where they had samples, snacks for humans, and lots of tennis balls. But what was so special is that the samples are all human grade, so they were out for humans to try! The cooked hor d’oeuvres were also made from the same meat that is use in the dog treats.

Even though Luna didn’t get to go to the Global Pet Expo, she was lucky enough to try out two of Spot Farms chicken treat varieties.

Before we go into the details, I just need to say that Luna thinks the chicken treats are REAL GOOD. I’m sitting here trying to read the packaging so I can accurately present you with the information, but I have to BATTLE Luna for the bag. Fortunately, I have opposable thumbs and a strong grip, so we can continue with the rest of the review.

We started with the Chicken Strips.

These strips are made of all natural human grade chicken from Kentucky. That’s right the bag tells you exactly where the chicken comes from and even features a photo of the growers, Joan and Martin, and their dog!

The packaging also reassures you that there is no corn, wheat, or soy and no animal byproducts in these Chicken Strips. In fact there are only seven ingredients: Chicken, Brown Rice Syrup, Salt, Natural Flavor, Turmeric, Vinegar, and Green Tea Extract.

The Chicken Strips also contain 100 mg/kg of Glucosamine and 400 mg/kg of chondroitin to help support joint health.

Once Luna had eaten a few too many Chicken Strips, we moved on to Spot Farms Chicken Jerky.

The Chicken Jerky is also all natural and human grade with chicken from Kentucky. This bag features another set of growers, Nancy and Ronnie.

The jerky has only six ingredients: Chicken, Brown Rice Syrup, Sunflower Oil, Flaxseed, Alpha Tocopherol, and Green Tea Extract with both Omega-3 and 6 Fatty Acids for added health benefits.

This bag (and the Chicken Strips bag) feature the CUTEST barcode I think I have ever seen, so I had to mention it.
