You guys! I failed! After 38 weeks of posting my photo of the week for the 52 Snapshots of Life Photo Challenge on time, I dropped the ball and missed last week’s photo post. I’m super upset because it was such a fun theme too – SHADOW!

I knew it was coming and had all these great ideas, but I never saw them through. I imagined going outside on a super sunny day and taking a dramatic photo of Luna’s giant shadow behind her. But when it came down to it I was swamped with work from my day job and hosting my first Twitter Chat (with great success!), so my dreams of taking awesome SHADOW themed photos fell by the waste-side.

BUT, I do have to point out that it wasn’t entirely my fault. Hurricane Joaquin and all the cloudy rainy weather that came with him to the DC area made taking a photo in the sun quite difficult! Fortunately, Joaquin didn’t hit us nearly as hard as we were prepared for. Thank goodness!

Even though it’s very much not on time, I still wanted to complete the challenge and took a few photos of Luna using my lighting set. Luna is not at all a fan of the bright lights and I don’t blame her. Her distaste for them proved to make the photo shoot fairly difficult. I think I still was able to get out a few fun photos anyway.

I WILL be on time for our next photo post, so be sure to keep an eye out tonight for our post for the theme FRAMED!

Has your pet ever noticed his or her shadow?

Last week’s 52 Snapshots of Life Photo Challenge theme was SHADOW and this post is my (late) submission. If you’d like to see more photos from our 52 Snapshots of Life Photo Challenge, you can view them all over in my Flickr 52 Snapshots of Life photo album.

Don’t forget to visit my post from two weeks ago to see Luna’s cute little FEET and come back later today to see how Luna gets FRAMED.
