Nominated for a Liebster Award!

First, I have to thank Marie from The Kitty Corner for the Liebster Award nomination! I apologize for the delay. I really wanted to take the time to find a few great new blogs to nominate myself!

As a blogger with only a few months under my belt, I had no idea what the Liebster award was. After taking seven years of German, I knew it had to be good! Luckily, Marie had all the information on her blog. Essentially, the Liebster Award is designed to help get the word out about new blogs, so it is for blogs with fewer than 200 followers. To accept the award, the nominee must do a few things:

  1. List the nominator’s blog on your blogroll with a link
  2. Answer 11 questions asked by your nominator
  3. Provide 11 random facts about yourself
  4. Nominate 11 qualified blogs (less than 200 followers) for the Liebster Award and let them know through a post on their blog page
  5. Provide a set of 11 questions for the nominated blogs to answer
  6. Display the award on your blog!

My answers to the questions from Marie:

  1. Describe yourself in one word. According to my boyfriend, it is “Hangry”. I like to think of it as “Passionate”.
  2. If you had a time machine, would you travel to the future or to the past? The past. I think we still have a lot to learn from it.
  3. What is your favorite city? New York or London.
  4. Do you write more than one blog? No, just Beagles and Bargains (for now).
  5. What is your favorite time of day? Late afternoon when the sun is shinning, but everything is peaceful.
  6. If you could have lunch with a famous person, from past or present, who would it be? Zooey Deschanel. I think it would be both entertaining and enlightening, plus she adopted two dogs!
  7. Coffee or tea? (Or neither?) Tea!
  8. What is your favorite flower? Sunflower.
  9. What do you like best about blogging? Meeting new people and learning new things.
  10. What is your favorite season? Fall. It is like the Spring, but there is less pollen and fewer allergies.
  11. What is your favorite movie? Emperor’s New Groove. Gotta love the llamas.

11 random facts about me:

  1. My favorite animal is the manatee.
  2. I want to have a llama or alpaca farm some day.
  3. I have never broken a bone, but I have been to the emergency room at least 15 times for various other injuries.
  4. I share my birthday with the country I was born in.
  5. I could live off of bread.
  6. I do not like onions unless they are fried.
  7. I graduated from my grandparents’ alma mater.
  8. I love crime/mystery related TV shows.
  9. I do not like the color blue.
  10. I like to cook.
  11. I have taken a class all about mushrooms and another all about wine.
