Today is a very special day! It is Luna’s First Gotcha Day. I officially adopted Luna on October 13, 2012. October 13 is a very significant date in our pack because it also marks the day when I first started dating my boyfriend. Today we also celebrated five years together.
Luna was adopted from HART and we finally got to bring her home after an event at Quattro Goomba Winery! Here she is on her first day.
This weekend was full of celebration, but before I tell you how we celebrated with Luna. I thought we could look back at this past year.
Luna quickly became part of the pack, bonding with my family and cousin Keto!
We learned quickly that she is a VERY food motivated dog. Nothing comes between her and a good snack.
We also learned she was very talented at making messes.

What else is Luna skilled at? Why just take a look! Awkward positions, wine tasting, balance, and sniffing!
We celebrated birthdays, achievements, and a lot of holidays together.
We also experienced a wide range of other activities. Moving, snow, BlogPaws, hiking, a hurricane, bath time, and meeting goats were just a few!
So how did we celebrate Luna’s First Gotcha Day? With a nice hike on a part of the Appalachian trail and delicious Pup Pies!
