Do you remember a few weeks back when we shared Lupine’s new ECO collars and leashes? Afterwards, I learned that Lupine also makes some great training products like their No Pull Harness. We were asked to give it a try and I excitedly accepted since Luna is a pulling champion. Anyone need a tug of war teammate?

I eagerly accepted the review without actually measuring Luna’s torso and it turns out the No Pull Harness is just a bit too big for her! But, never fear Cousin Keto is here! (Remember my parents’ fluffy Labradoodle?)

I was worried that the harness would be too small for Keto, but he fit in it perfectly and agreed to model for a few pieces of chicken jerky.

The best part of the Lupine’s No Pull Harness is that it is super easy to attach and detach. The circle part of the harness connects around your dog’s rib cage close to their front legs. Then pull the center strap between your dog’s front legs and connect it to the D-ring of your dog’s collar. Instead of attaching your leash to your dog’s collar, attach it to the D-ring on the front of the harness. See the video below for more details!

This harness isn’t going to absolutely stop your dog from pulling. It needs to be paired with training to convey that pulling is less rewarding than not pulling. The leash is designed to direct your dog towards you when pulling begins. This allows you to positively reinforce when your dog is looking at you with slack in the leash.

Keto isn’t a hardcore puller, but this harness did absolutely deter him from pulling at all. When he started to pull, the lead would tighten and cause him to turn slightly towards me, which made him stop what he was doing and direct his attention to me.

The No Pull Harness works with any Lupine or similar collar. It comes in two different sizes: Medium (16-26″ girth) or Large (26-38″ girth), so it is more suitable for larger dogs. The harness also comes in about 18 different colors or patterns, so you can get one to match your dog’s collar or fit her personality.
