The start of September means Fall is just around the corner and in many places it comes paired with cool, crisp apple picking weather. While I love spending time outside on a cool Fall day, I would be pretty chilly without my trusty sweatshirt or fleece. Most dogs come with prepared with a bit of insulation through their hair or fur, but some dogs, especially short haired breeds, can get chilly too.
Then after Fall comes Winter. Today our weatherman announced that today would be the last “heat wave” of the year. So here in Virginia, I know that the temperature is starting to cool down until eventually everything is covered in snow. It might only be a dusting, but it will still be snow!
During the coming cold months, I enjoy nothing more than snuggling up with Luna to keep warm. But, sometimes a blanket isn’t enough! Luna has a few different sweaters and sweatshirts that help keep her warm, but non of them really seem to fit her personality.
Do skulls and crossbones scream Luna to you? No, I didn’t think so.
How about a pretty pretty princess? Nope, not that either.
I just want something that will keep Luna warm comfortably, match her sassy personality, be versatile for multiple occasions, be easy to put on, take off, and clean, and of course be reasonably priced.
Is that too much to ask?

Gold Paw Series Fleece Pullovers are perfect because they come in almost any size, so you are able to find a fleece for your dog no matter if they are a teacup or giant breed or somewhere in between. The pullovers are designed to be easy to put on and to take off. The soft fabric and specially designed shape also ensures that the fleece pullover is comfortable for your dog to wear.
And they are affordable! Gold Paw’s Fleece range from $9.60 – $49 depending on the size, style, fabric, and color. In addition to Luna’s Red Tartan pattern, these stylish clothing items come in pretty much every color possible along with two other fun plaid patterns (Eggplant, Cobalt Blue, Camel, Black, Eucalyptus, Fuchsia, Grass, Marine Blue, Orange, Red, Robin Egg, Sunflower, Mulberry Plaid, and Wintergreen Plaid).
The Stretchy Fleece is made primarily of recycled Polyester, but it does also have a bit of spandex in it for a 4-way stretch. Since it’s so stretchy, Gold Paw recommends ordering a size down. I didn’t heed this advice, so Luna’s is a bit big. You can determine what size your dog should be by using Gold Paw’s sizing guide.
I hope it’s not too weird that I’m excited for colder weather, so Luna can wear her Gold Paw Fleece!
