Benefits of Outside Playtime for You & Your Dog
Exercise
Obviously a good game of fetch is going to provide a lot of good physical exercise for your dog as they run back and forth delivering the ball or other toy back to you. Thankfully, the Chuckit! Launcher has made throwing the ball further distances and a thousand times in a row easier and easier to allow your dog to get all the exercise they need or want. You may not expect it, but by playing with your dog you are actually getting exercise too! You may not be running a marathon, but you’re up and moving a whole lot more than if you were just sitting on the couch. Socialization
Getting out of the house is pretty much the only way to meet other people and dogs. A healthy mind is the key to a healthy life. You can be super fit, but if you don’t exercise your mind other issues will crop up. The same goes for Fido! Getting outside and playing encourages problem solving, teamwork, strategy, and even flexibility when the unexpected happens. All of these are great ways to flex your brain and improve your brain power.

There’s nothing that puts a smile on my face better than seeing my dogs run around like wild hooligans. I love seeing them without a care in the world and enjoying a bit of fresh air. Even when I’m in the grinchiest, grumpiest mood ever, I can’t help but smile and laugh every time Ralph launches himself from one end of the dog park to the other at 100 mph and tackles an unsuspecting Luna, who naturally retaliates by battling him in a game of Bitey Face. It’s a fabulous way to end or even start a long day.
