A recent addition to my favorite things is travel with my pets. I just love being able to see the world… or at least a good portion of the USA with Ralph & Luna. Since adopting both of my pups, we taken numerous road trips to Nashville, Myrtle Beach, Phoenix, and more. One of my favorite being when we drove coast to coast from Virginia to California a few summers ago. Read more about that adventure here.

When traveling I’m always concerned about the safety of Ralph & Luna, so I selectively choose to use certain products that I trust to keep my dogs out of harm. One of my favorite travel safety brands is Sleepypod. For larger dogs, I highly recommend trying out the Sleepypod Clickit Sport for car travel and as a walking harness. For smaller dogs, the Sleepypod Air carrier is a great option. Plus, it can be used both in the car and for air travel. The best part? Both are crash tested for safety!

I’m so thrilled that Sleepypod has agreed to work with us again on another fantastic giveaway and in the spirit of Thanksgiving, this one is extra special! Just because the turkey and stuffing is behind us for 2017 doesn’t mean we can’t spread some holiday cheer!

Keep your pets safe during holiday travel with our travel safety tips!

About Sleepypod Clickit Sport

The Clickit Sport is a car safety harness designed by Sleepypod. The unique design of this harness is engineered to decrease damaging affects of an accident by reducing and distributing the forces without any additional equipment. All you need is the harness and your car’s seat belt!

Win a Sleepypod Clickit Sport or Sleepypod Air! PLUS One for Your Favorite Animal Rescue or Charity! #sponsored

Even though Sleepypod calls these harnesses “Safety Harnesses”, you don’t just have to take their word on it! They run the harness design through rigorous crash-testing and even have dog crash test dummies, one of which is named Duke! In fact, the Clickit Sport is the only harness to earn a safety certification and five star rating from the Center of Pet Safety. You can even see a video of a crash test right here.

Not only are the harnesses safe, but they come in fun colors like Jet Black, Strawberry Red, Orange Dream, and Robin Egg Blue. Recently Sleepypod also launched a limited edition True Violet color!

The Sleepypod Car Harness can also double as a walking harness, so you don’t have to change what your dog is wearing when you jump out of the car to go on a new hike or other adventure. It also features reflective strips on the back to make you dog more visible at night.

This harness is a great option for medium to large dogs who have a girth (rib cage measurement just behind the front legs) of 16.5 to 40 inches. You can get your own Sleepypod Clickit Sport here!

About Sleepypod Air

The Sleepypod Air carrier is another great option for keeping pets safe, especially smaller ones. It’s designed for pets under 20 lbs or so though height, width, and length matter a bit more than the weight of a pet. The interior of the carrier measures at 21″ long, 9.5″ tall, and 10″ wide.

This carrier is specially designed to be compatible with all airline and TSA regulations. To do this you can compress the length of the carrier to 19″ or 16″ by folding up one of both of the sides. This flexibility allows the Air to fit under all airline seats. Plus, then after take off you can adjust the carrier to give your pet more space and your legs more room as well!

The quality of the Sleepypod Air is outstanding as it is made with luggage-grade ballistic nylon and is super easy to clean up. It comes in the same fun colors that the Clickit Sport does including the limited edition True Violet. And of course it is crash tested for safety as well!

Hmmm…I think the Sleepypod Clickit Sport! We need a better car harness now that we have a car and drive a lot. Henry’s current harness isn’t crash tested and isn’t very comfortable for him. I was thinking the Air, but we already have a pretty similar carrier and we hardly fly!
