Below you will find a Google Map that pinpoints all the pet friendly places in Virginia. Currently the map features many Virginia wineries with more pet friendly businesses like restaurants, hotels, and shops being added regularly.

You will find that comments are added to places Luna and I have visited first hand. However, if you notice that a pet friendly business is missing, please send me a message at jessica@beaglesandbargains.com. I will add it to the map with a short review from you!

Always remember: There is a significant variance in what is consider pet friendly. Some wineries can be consider pet friendly and may advertise as such even if pets are only allowed outside. This may prevent you from getting a tasting inside or having to sit outside on a very hot day. My advice would be to call ahead and check, especially if you are taking a bit of a drive.

I moved from Vermont to Virginia. I live in Carroll County. I do not see dog parks. Also I was told doggy daycares were against the law. There are none here. I can’t believe that an area where I am, and dogs and animals all over, there is not more pet friendly area’s. I am disappointed.

I’m sorry to hear that Kathleen. Unfortunately, this map is all based on personal experience and I’m not very familiar with Carroll County. I spent most of my time in Northern Virginia, which does have tons of dog parks and pet friendly places to visit. I had no idea Doggy Daycares were against the law in Carroll County. There are plenty in Fairfax and Loudoun Counties where I’m most familiar. I hope you can find another resource that has more pet friendly options closer to your home.
