For my 23rd birthday last Thursday, Luna, my boyfriend, and I visited two pet friendly wineries in the Northern Virginia area. We visited Barrel Oak Winery (BOW), which is in Delaplane, VA, on my actual birthday. BOW is super pet friendly. We saw at least 15 dogs while we were there and they even have poop bag stations! It was beautiful and relaxing with so many great picnic spots. We brought along fruit, cheese, crackers, and some bread to enjoy with a glass of wine. BOW has tons of picnic tables both on the lawn and on their patio.

On July 5, we took a trip out to Purcellville, VA to visit 868 Estate Vineyards and Grandale Restaurant. 868’s wine was a little more in line with my taste, but they unfortunately do not allow dogs inside the tasting room as they run a restaurant too. Their outside space is equally as beautiful and relaxing as BOW’s, plus they have corn hole! Grandale was delicious and even though it was hot, we were happy to be outside. It was amazing to be able to dine at a nice restaurant with a pet friendly patio.
