This week is going to be a whirlwind. I’m off to cover the Global Pet Expo for my fourth year and I couldn’t be more excited. I can’t wait to see what surprises and brand new pet products the show has in store for this year.
What is the Global Pet Expo?
It’s the world’s largest annual trade show for the pet industry! It features new and exciting pet products from every corner of the pet industry – dogs, cats, horses, fish, and chickens included. This year it will feature 1,130 exhibitors and 3,435 booths along 3,000 new product launches and 223 brand new exhibitors. Learn more about GPE here.
For the past few years it has been held at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida, so Florida is where I am heading! The show runs for 3 days and I will certainly miss both Ralph and Luna while I’m gone, but they’ll be in good hands with my boyfriend… hopefully. Plus, I almost always come back from the show with a few goodies for them.
This year I will be looking out for advancements in the pet food and treat market. I am almost always checking for a durable toy that can survive a few minutes with surgeon Luna. Other favorite categories of mine are pet related gifts and pet tech. Plus I’ve finally come to terms with the fact that I might need to get a dog stroller, so for the first time I will be checking out what stroller options are available.
